Website design for coaches and wellness businesses

A prospective coaching client needs to understand the programme, the commitment and whether the approach suits them. A useful website answers those questions before asking for a call.

Explain the programme in terms a client can use

Describe who the programme is intended for, what support is available and how it is delivered. “Personalised coaching” leaves too much unstated on its own. Explain what personalisation changes: the plan, the check-ins, the schedule or the level of contact.

Be clear about the boundaries too. A coaching website should not imply that a service covers every goal or every circumstance. Present credentials accurately, publish only approved testimonials and avoid promising outcomes that cannot be supported.

A relevant example: Emily Morse Coaching

The Emily Morse Coaching project presents a premium wellness brand around personalised training, nutrition, mindset support and a clear enquiry journey. The portfolio describes a website connected to an app-supported service experience.

The lesson for the brief is to show how the website and the actual coaching service relate. The public page helps someone decide and enquire; ongoing delivery may happen elsewhere. The website and coaching platform have different jobs: one supports the decision to enquire, while the other supports delivery of the programme.

Choose the next step around the way you accept clients

Different offers need different enquiry routes
OfferLikely next stepInformation to explain
A programme with limited placesApply or request a consultation.Suitability, availability and how applications are reviewed.
A scheduled introductory sessionChoose a time or request contact.Session format, duration and what to prepare.
An established self-serve productBuy or register through the chosen platform.Inclusions, access and where ongoing support happens.

Do not add a long application simply to make the offer feel exclusive. Ask only for information that helps assess fit or arrange the next step. More sensitive details can be collected through an appropriate process once needed.

Make mobile enquiries easy to complete

Many visitors will arrive from a social profile or a recommendation. They may have some familiarity with the coach but little understanding of the programme. The page should explain the offer without assuming they have watched every video or read previous posts.

Keep contact options easy to find, give form fields visible labels and explain what happens after submission. Test the whole route from the profile link to the received enquiry. A confirmation screen is useful to the visitor; a working notification and assigned follow-up are essential to the business.

Our guide to traffic without enquiries helps identify whether the issue is visitor fit, clarity or a broken handover.

Use proof that belongs to your service

Client stories can be more helpful than generic motivational copy when they explain the starting situation, the support provided and the client’s own account of the experience. Obtain permission for any quotation or image. A testimonial should not be rewritten into a stronger claim than the client made.

Show the person behind the service with suitable photographs and a clear account of qualifications and approach. Separate professional experience from personal story so visitors can assess both.

Keep the website proportionate

If programme delivery already works in an existing coaching platform, the website may only need to explain the offer and send suitable enquiries into that process. A new portal or custom application should have a clear job beyond replicating features you already pay for.

For a focused launch or programme campaign, see landing page design. For a broader rebuild, the website brief checklist helps gather content, programme details and approval responsibilities before design starts.
